Guidelines and tips on how to go about your clothing artwork
Choose your canvas from your wardrobe between denim jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, or sweaters.
Plan the artwork: This could be a tag, a small artwork, or freestyle lettering.
The artist will execute your design in his style and will fit the wording efficiently and accordingly to the canvas.
Color palette: Choose vibrant, high-contrast colors on black or dark colours, unless you want a subtle look.
On light-coloured clothing, you may use any colours available.
Please note that this is a graffiti-style look – it’s not supposed to look perfect, but rather a unique piece that resembles street art with a niche touch to it.
While spray painting can create a bold and artistic effect, it does come with a few limitations — especially when applied to fabric.
Spray paint is designed to spread and blend, which means the results are typically more freeform and less precise. Unlike traditional screen printing or embroidery, spray painting doesn’t produce sharp, clean lines. The texture of the fabric, the way the paint disperses, and natural movement during application all contribute to a more organic, uneven look.
